Employability Guides
The Subject Centre for PRS published two subject-specific employability guides, which are practical tools for students to use when thinking about how to identify and demonstrate to potential employers the skills their degrees have developed in them. They contain information about the QAA Benchmark Skills, the kinds of skills employers say they look for in graduates, examples of how to demonstrate to employers that these two sets of skills can match up, case studies about the career paths of past PRS graduates, and further resources to look at.
In 2007 we contacted all PRS departments and provided copies of the relevant guides free of charge for second and third year undergraduates to all departments that expressed an interest. The guides have also been used by departments as recruitment tools for prospective students, and as evidence of the relevance of PRS subjects in the current HE environment.
Please feel free to download and print out the guides below as required.
