Interfaith dialogue as a way of facilitating spirituality in higher education

Christian Kaestner

As part of his doctoral research on interfaith dialogue in higher education, the speaker developed an interfaith dialogue programme which he ran with a group of forty students from the University of Leeds from January to March 2009. The programme generated research material in the form of focus group transcripts and online blog entries written by the participants. Using this material, the presentation will reflect on possible learning outcomes of teaching spirituality in higher education, as well as on the form such teaching might take.

This doctoral research project is generously funded by the Subject Centre for Philosophical and Religious Studies.
