Editorial Introduction

This issue of DISKUS arises from the 2009 BASR annual conference. It includes the BASR annual lecture by Carole Cusack (University of Sydney, Australia) and other articles that engage with the theme of the 2009 conference: "religion, location and other uncertain boundaries". In their range and diversity they demonstrate the value to the Study of Religion(s) of critical engagement with location. The confluence of research about embodiment, materiality and performance (all key themes in recent and emerging critical studies) adds further value to these articles.
